At Climatica Foundation, we are dedicated to restoring and enhancing biodiversity through our tree growing and reforestation initiatives. Our holistic approach focuses not only on planting trees but also on creating sustainable ecosystems that support diverse flora and fauna.

Climatica Foundation collaborates with stakeholders such as producers on reforestation campaigns, we have experience in rejuvenating deforested communities especially encouraging restoration of native tree species, fostering environmental resilience and mitigating the impacts of climate change. We carry out reforestation initiatives in areas suffering from deforestation or degradation, to restore and enhance biodiversity while contributing to the overall health of ecosystems.

We have since integrated mobile technology in our tree growing efforts, both in house and for partners. Data collected includes GPS coordinates per tree, date of planting, species, socio-demographic data of smallholder farmers’ households among others. Additionally, we use KML file polygons to map planting sites and monitor their progress over time using satellite imagery.

Collaborative Campaigns:

We work hand in hand with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to implement large-scale reforestation campaigns. By partnering with producers and smallholder farmers, we aim to rejuvenate deforested areas and promote the restoration of native tree species.

To ensure the success and efficiency of our reforestation efforts, we have integrated mobile technology into our tree planting process. Our mobile data collection system allows us to gather crucial information such as GPS coordinates per tree, date of planting, species, and socio-demographic data of smallholder farmers’ households. This data is instrumental in monitoring the progress of our reforestation projects and evaluating their impact over time.
